QRF: End Veteran Suicide

The silent battle

Some come home carrying wounds no one can see.

They survive the throes of battle, then come home to PTSD and depression, the invisible scars of war.

22

veterans a day lose their lives to suicide.

51%

higher veteran suicide rate than the national average.

We owe them more. They deserve better.

Unfinished work

Caring for our heroes when they come home.

Abraham Lincoln urged the living to dedicate themselves to the unfinished work of preserving the nation. Part of that task is to care for our heroes when they return home. QRF exists to carry that work forward.

Brothers and sisters, still

The bond doesn’t end when the uniform comes off.

We should not let the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood fall by the wayside once we return home and leave military service. Instead, we keep helping one another carry the burdens of war and support one another in unity.

We alone can intimately appreciate what we have all been through. We alone can understand and empathize with each other’s plight. We alone are a family, with shared experience through the crucible of combat.

“Veteran suicide ends now.”
